Bank of Georgetown’s logo is an abstraction of the oars of a crew team, which are a constant presence on the nearby Potomac River and serve as a symbol of Bank of Georgetown’s spirit and DC roots. Similarly, the overall brand identity expressed at branch offices throughout metropolitan DC reinforces the themes of teamwork, precision, and community that are at the core of Bank of Georgetown’s mission.
In 2015, Bank of Georgetown updated interior and exterior signage and redesigned the website to be user-friendly and responsive, allowing customers to bank on-the-go from any device.
Bank of Georgetown was acquired by with United Bankshares, Inc. for $269 million.
