With an expertise in health care, Phenola Lawrence applies her background in integrated disease education campaigns and grassroots advocacy efforts to help a variety of stakeholders “show, not tell” their stories.
As a Senior Account Director, Phenola supports clients in the development and execution of strategic digital plans. Under her leadership, REQ's clients receive insights-driven recommendations that effectively reach their audiences and raise their public profiles.
Prior to joining REQ, Phenola was a manager at Avalere Health where she led the development of thought leadership programs, value initiatives, and B2B marketing plans for clients across the healthcare spectrum. Phenola has also worked at Fleishman Hillard Public Relations and Edelman Public Relations where she worked across a variety of communications specialties, including managing new product/brand launches, on-site crisis response efforts, and launches of nation-wide educational campaigns.
Phenola received her BA in Journalism with a minor in Sociology from Penn State University, and a Master’s in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University. Outside of the office, Phenola sits on the Board of Directors of CentroNía, a nationally recognized and award-winning educational organization that provides affordable, quality bilingual education and support services to children and families in the DC area.
