Introducing the REQ Narrative Studio: A Smarter Approach to Brand Storytelling and Content Strategy

The famed Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez once said that “one of the most difficult things is the first paragraph,” and he’s not wrong. That’s where you state your case, plant your flag, whatever euphemism you want to use.

In marketing content, though, “the first paragraph” has nothing to do with writing. It’s about identifying your unique angles and messaging. Only then can you write the article, draft the pitch, create the creative.

In other words, the hardest part is finding your company’s story. You certainly have one – a compelling insight, a different perspective, or a reason why customers need to hear from you. Mining those points is what separates captivating content from forgettable fluff.

It takes a certain type of expert to effectively draw out your story, one well-versed in multiple arts, including strategically defining messaging direction and encapsulating it in writing. Anyone can put words on a page; but there’s a skill to discovering what makes a memorable and engaging narrative that actually gets people to sit up and say “Hmm, I like what that company is saying. I think I’ll check them out.”

That’s why I’m excited to announce our new offering, the REQ Narrative Studio.

What is the REQ Narrative Studio?

When REQ first introduced its Editorial Services offering, clients and editors were starving for content. Articles, blogs, web pages, scripts, awards, you name it – the demand for high-quality, engaging, thought-provoking information that turns heads (and prospects into customers) was growing, and we stepped up to meet the demand.

Fourteen years later, the more things change…well, you know how it goes. The appetite for content that’s different, aligned with our clients’ messages, and tied together with a healthy dose of strategy, media relations, and social media outreach is as voracious as it’s ever been.

But the content landscape has evolved significantly. It’s no longer enough to just put out a press release, an 800-word byline article, or a cool looking eBook and call it a day. There’s just too much stuff out there, too many companies vying for attention. One-offs get lost.

You need a compelling narrative that binds these important pieces together across mediums. A narrative that doesn’t just appear on people’s screens for a moment, but sticks with them because of its messaging, its creativity, or both.

That’s where the REQ Narrative Studio comes in. It’s a content engine, strategic consultancy, messaging platform, social media and media relations service, all wrapped together in a single, powerful offering. It combines the expertise and personal touch of seasoned writers and experienced media professionals with the speed of AI to produce great, trusted content that stands out.

Your Story, Your Way

Sounds big, you say. Well, yes, it is. Ambitious, certainly. Comprehensive, definitely.

But not bloated. Our entire goal with the REQ Narrative Studio is to make it easy and streamlined for you to tell your stories in ways that make the most sense and will drive maximum value.

That might mean a series of white papers or blogs. It could require competitive research, media training, or a few well-placed articles in key publications. It may be a program that lasts for a few weeks, months, or a year. We love words, and “flexibility” is one of our favorites.

No matter what you choose, you’ll benefit from strategic guidance and a messaging playbook that sets the tone for whatever comes next. Because every story needs a good theme or two. We dig in to uncover that unique hook that makes you stand out across your marketing, PR, sales, and leadership initiatives.

Perfecting the Art of Messaging and Storytelling

The REQ Narrative Studio is the culmination of years of work perfecting the art of messaging and storytelling. Over the past decade REQ has created more than 10,000 pieces of content for our clients. They include short blog posts, 5,000 word white papers, graphic-rich eBooks, executive speeches, attention-grabbing email campaigns, and so much more.

Ten thousand is a big number, and ten years is a long time. But to paraphrase another intellectual powerhouse (in this case, Indiana Jones), it’s not the years, it’s the mileage.

In our case, it’s not the millions of words written over the course of around 3,600 days. It’s how we, the REQ PR and editorial teams, have used that experience to refine our craft to go the extra mile for our clients and create compelling, attention-grabbing narratives. We’re in this to build credibility, increase conversions, gain share of voice, and make a positive impact with prospects and customers.

After all, everyone loves a good story. Let’s talk about how we can help you tell yours. Visit https://req.co/services/narrative-studio/ to learn more.
