John Mueller, Webmaster Trends Analyst at Google, recently predicted that technical SEO specialists will encounter JavaScript more in the coming years than they have in the last few decades.

On September 11, algorithm monitoring tools reported high volatility in the search results indicating a “silent” or unconfirmed update to Google’s algorithm. Silent algorithm updates are common and generally occur without official confirmation from Google.

The SEO world has been aware of, and talking about, the concept of Position Zero now for quite some time; it is the widely used term for organic content that appears above the #1 spot on Google for specific types of search terms.
