DC Icon Dog Tag Inc. Selects REQ as Its Marketing Partner for National Brand Expansion

Washington, DC - September 17, 2019 - DC-based social enterprise and living business school Dog Tag Inc. (DTI) has engaged digital marketing and brand management company REQ to take their brand to the next level as they prepare to take their efforts to new markets across the United States.

Dog Tag Inc. empowers transitioning service-disabled veterans, military spouses, and caregivers to rediscover purpose through an innovative five-month business and entrepreneurship-focused fellowship program. Fellows earn a Certificate of Business Administration from Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies. The famous Dog Tag Bakery in Georgetown, Washington DC provides fellows the opportunity to apply classroom learnings and gain hands-on experience working in a growing small business. With a holistic focus on developing the whole person and facilitating the military-to-civilian cultural shift, DTI’s program reflects the needs of today’s transitioning veterans, military spouses, and caregivers.

Dog Tag Inc. has enjoyed successes ranging from bakery visits from President Obama to winning the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Wounded Veteran and Military Caregiver Employment Award. As they have continued to thrive, grow, and expand their partnerships, they recognized a need to bring on a full-service marketing and communications agency of record.

REQ will partner with Dog Tag Inc. to reposition the brand, from its digital presence to in-store experience. The partnership will include a full brand strategy for the growing non-profit, a comprehensive and integrated marketing plan to increase awareness and support, and the rollout of a new website to assist Dog Tag Inc. in telling their story across platforms and showcasing their unique mission and forward-thinking approach.
