Opportunities for Career Growth
Q: Looking back over 2024, how would you sum up the year and what lessons you’re taking away regarding your career growth and leadership?
A: 2024 has been a year of incredible professional growth. Leading the Media & Analytics team at REQ, I had the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented individuals in the industry. From refining strategies for top brands to exploring innovative approaches in digital marketing, every day was an opportunity to learn and lead. The opportunities to push the limits of performance for our clients pushed my creativity and production levels to the max degree.
I also had the opportunity to work on some amazing campaigns that delivered measurable results for our clients. The satisfaction of seeing strategies come to life and driving tangible business growth is always a highlight of my year. It’s inspiring to see how digital marketing continues to evolve, and I’m grateful to be part of such transformative work. One huge achievement the team had this year was support our client Health-Ade Kombucha is launching their new SunSip product. The team poured their hearts into the launch and it showed in the results. The team drove performance gains much higher than the client had expected!
Industry Events & Networking
Q: You had the chance to attend and contribute to a number of different industry events and discussions this year. How was that experience and was there a specific opportunity that stood out to you?
A: This year, I contributed my insights on the future of digital marketing as a Forbes contributor, and I was fortunate to engage in conversations about the intersection of AI, human creativity, and marketing. Sharing my thoughts with a broader audience has been rewarding, and I’m excited to continue adding value to the industry. My most noteworthy was the sebinar with Retail Strategies and MNTN. This was a very smooth production, Maggie Pendergrass is extremely knowledgeable about CTV and full-funnel marketing planning. Nicole Silberstein was a fantastic host as well, she asked all of the right questions. We thought that planning for Black Friday and Cyber Monday in August might be too soon but we saw over 100 attendees of the webinar and got strong feedback on the content.
My favorite industry experiences this year have been mostly from the BrightonSEO conference in San Diego. An incredible blending of the past and future as I was able to connect with so many industry veterans that I’ve worked with in prior roles. I also had so much fun taking video snippets of the industry’s greatest, Rand Fishkin, Ginny Marvin, Jeremy Hull, and more. We talked about industry disruptors and predictions for the future. You can’t get that kind of raw, detailed information from ChatGPT!
Mentorship Opportunities
Q: You mentioned building connections and mentorship were goals of yours for 2024 - how did you approach those and where did they lead you?
A: I had the opportunity to deepen my involvement with CHIEF, a network of female executives, where I connected with incredible leaders and learned from their experiences. I also focused on mentoring rising talent in digital marketing, something that continues to be close to my heart.
Personal Evolution
Q: On a personal note, what were your biggest lessons from 2024 that you’ll take with you into the new year outside of your professional life?
A: 2024 was also a year for personal reflection and growth. I embraced new challenges, pushed boundaries, and took time to appreciate the journey. The lessons I’ve learned this year about leadership, adaptability, and resilience, will continue to guide me into 2025.
Closing Thoughts
Q: Any last thoughts you’d like to share?
A: As we move into 2025, I’m excited to continue pushing the envelope in digital marketing, exploring new technologies, and finding innovative ways to drive success for clients. As AI continues to become more predominant, I will adapt and become even more AI Enabled. Here’s to the next chapter of growth and achievement!
