What Keeps RepEquity Cool?

We recently announced that we’ve been named a finalist for DC Inno’s Coolest Companies Competition 2016. While our work culture’s been recognized over and over again, we want to share an inside peek on what continues to make RepEquity an awesome place to work.

Sweet Digs

-

The space you work in should be just as great as the work you do. At RepEquity, we're committed to making this a reality with:

  • A bright, open floor plan with art that inspires and clean lines that keep the mind clutter free.

  • A fully stocked kitchen with options for everyone.

  • A colorful break room with ping pong, darts, and TV to watch the latest games.

  • A drink cart that makes the rounds on Friday afternoons stocked with beer, wine, and an occasional themed cocktail (sangria, anyone?).

  • A vibrant DuPont Circle location, with great eats and a gym next door with discounted memberships for our staff.

Plenty of time to enjoy life outside the office

REQ travel

Employees that can rest and recharge on their own time, with their own passions, do their best work.

  • With a generous vacation and PTO policy, our employees have put their time off to good use – last year we explored 25 countries (Iceland, Portugal, Spain, France, England, Ireland, Croatia, Monaco, Morocco, Canada, China, Austria, Laos, Vietnam, Scotland, Cambodia, Taiwan, Germany, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Israel, Mexico, Italy, Bahamas, Switzerland).

  • We encourage work-life balance and enjoy seeing our RepEquity family pursue passions outside of the office. Whether it’s competitive horseback riding, fitness instruction, teaching technology courses, or extreme Pokemon hunts; our RepEquity employees are always on the move.

Professional growth is a high priority

REQ Training

To stay cutting edge, we know our employees need to stay at the top of their game.

  • We open our office as hosts for industry events and encourage our employees to take time to attend outside events.

  • We send our employees to conferences where they can learn the latest tricks of the trade – last year, our employees spent 552 hours in Vegas, and that is only counting business time.

  • We regularly hold internal trainings and certifications, participate in group challenges, and swap interesting reads.

Exciting Events

-

The team that plays together, stays together. While there's always the epic RepEquity Holiday Party, here are a few more events we attend together:

  • Yearly sailing in Annapolis to watch the Blue Angels.

  • Renting a tent to watch the Virginia Gold Cup.

  • Movie-themed ice cream socials.

  • Regular happy hours (such as our most recent on the rooftop of Beacon Bar and Grill).

  • And more: In-office March Madness brackets, a kickball league, an internal book club, occasional in-office movie screenings, halloween t-shirt crafting, Thanksgiving potlucks, St. Paddy’s Day green beer and wine (we learned green wine is not ideal), and Valentine's Day bake-offs.

Awesome People

REQ Employees

Without a doubt, the best thing about RepEquity is the people! While we have veterans who have been here since day one, we have been steadily welcoming new employees to the RepEquity team. We’ve doubled in the last year alone! Here are some fun stats about our staff:

  • We’re proud of our diversity! RepEquity employees speak 17 languages besides English: Hindi, Punjabi, Arabic, Taiwanese, Bengali, Albanian, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Mandarin, Estonian, Russian, Finnish, Farsi, Hebrew, and Serbian.

  • Our employees are passionate whether they are self-taught, or from the biggest agencies and brands, and many have leadership roles in outside groups, such as the Washington Women in PR and the DC Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services.

  • Finally, our co-workers are interesting people. The list of interesting hobbies includes scuba certification, art collecting, pig training, romance writing and motorcycle building.
